Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are designed to improve skin texture, tone, acne, pigmentation, and signs of aging by removing damaged outer layers of skin and stimulating cellular renewal.

Results vary by individual and multiple treatments may be recommended.

Pre Care Instructions:


BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

5–7 DAYS PRIOR


Avoid:

  1. Retinol/Retinoids
  2. AHAs/BHAs
  3. Benzoyl peroxide
  4. Exfoliants/scrubs
  5. Waxing/threading
  6. Chemical exfoliation
  7. Excessive sun exposure or tanning


48 HOURS PRIOR

Avoid:

  1. Alcohol
  2. Excessive heat/saunas
  3. Intense exercise
  4. Facial treatments or hair removal


PLEASE INFORM YOUR PROVIDER IF YOU HAVE:

  1. Active cold sores or infection
  2. Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  3. Allergies to skincare ingredients
  4. Eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea
  5. Recent cosmetic procedures
  6. Accutane/isotretinoin use within the past year


Post Care Instructions:


AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

NORMAL SIDE EFFECTS

You may experience:

  1. Redness
  2. Tightness
  3. Mild swelling
  4. Dryness
  5. Peeling/flaking
  6. Temporary sensitivity

Peeling may begin within 2–3 days depending on the type and strength of peel.


FOR THE FIRST 24–48 HOURS

DO:

  1. Keep skin hydrated
  2. Use gentle cleanser and moisturizer only
  3. Apply SPF 30+ daily
  4. Allow peeling skin to shed naturally


DO NOT:

  1. Pick, peel, or scrub skin
  2. Wear makeup if skin is irritated
  3. Exercise excessively or sweat heavily
  4. Use saunas, hot tubs, or pools
  5. Expose skin to direct sunlight


FOR 5–7 DAYS AFTER

Avoid:

  1. Retinoids
  2. Exfoliating acids
  3. Benzoyl peroxide
  4. Scrubs or exfoliants
  5. Active skincare ingredients
  6. Facial waxing or hair removal

Continue daily SPF use and avoid tanning.


CONTACT YOUR PROVIDER IF YOU EXPERIENCE:

  1. Severe swelling
  2. Excessive redness
  3. Blistering
  4. Signs of infection
  5. Fever
  6. Unusual pain or burning
