Dermaplaning 

Dermaplaning is a gentle exfoliation treatment that removes dead skin cells and fine facial hair (“peach fuzz”) to reveal smoother, brighter skin and improve product absorption and makeup application.

Pre Care Instructions:

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

3–5 DAYS PRIOR


Avoid:

  1. Retinol/Retinoids
  2. AHAs/BHAs
  3. Exfoliants or scrubs
  4. Waxing/threading in treatment area
  5. Excessive sun exposure or tanning


24 HOURS PRIOR

Avoid:

  1. Excessive alcohol
  2. Intense exercise
  3. Trying new skincare products

Please arrive with clean skin whenever possible.


PLEASE INFORM YOUR PROVIDER IF YOU HAVE:

  1. Active acne breakouts
  2. Open wounds or irritation
  3. Cold sores
  4. Eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea flare-ups
  5. Recent cosmetic treatments
  6. Allergies or skin sensitivities

Dermaplaning may not be suitable for inflamed or highly acne-prone skin.

Post Care Instructions:

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

NORMAL SIDE EFFECTS


You may experience:

  1. Mild redness
  2. Temporary sensitivity
  3. Tightness or dryness
  4. Increased skin smoothness and brightness

These effects are temporary and typically resolve within 24–48 hours.


FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS

DO:

  1. Keep skin hydrated
  2. Use gentle skincare products
  3. Apply SPF 30+ daily
  4. Use clean pillowcases and towels


DO NOT:

  1. Touch or pick at skin
  2. Wear heavy makeup if sensitive
  3. Exercise excessively or sweat heavily
  4. Use saunas, hot tubs, or steam rooms
  5. Expose skin to direct sunlight

FOR 3–5 DAYS AFTER

Avoid:

  1. Retinoids
  2. Exfoliating acids
  3. Scrubs or exfoliants
  4. Waxing or hair removal
  5. Active skincare ingredients
  6. Excessive sun exposure

Continue using gentle skincare and sunscreen daily.
